Parenthood: The Art of Caring
11 June - 28 June 2026

Tom Cox Gallery is delighted to announce Parenthood: The Art of Caring,  an exhibition that explores how parenthood shapes artistic practice, identity, and everyday life.

Parenthood is often understood as a private or domestic experience, yet it profoundly influences how individuals move through the world. The works in this exhibition trace the emotional, physical, and psychological shifts that accompany becoming a parent, while also attending to the repetitive, often invisible labour that structures caregiving.

The exhibition will showcase a broad selection of artworks, including those which actively incorporate children, whether as collaborators, subjects, or presences that shape the conditions of making.

These practices challenge the separation between art and life, proposing new ways of understanding creativity as something embedded within relationships of care.
