Independent Sales Consultant (Freelance)
Art Fairs – 2026
Tom Cox Gallery is seeking an experienced, confident sales consultant to support our programme of art fairs throughout 2026. We’ve been exhibiting at London fairs since 2023 and are expanding our presence next year, so we’re looking for someone who can help drive sales and represent the gallery with professionalism and enthusiasm.
The role includes several major London art fairs, beginning with:
Affordable Art Fair, Battersea: 4–8 March 2026
Affordable Art Fair, Hampstead: 6–10 May 2026
Affordable Art Fair, Battersea (Autumn): October 2026 (dates TBC)
Before the fairs, we’ll arrange a few weekend trial sessions at our Crystal Palace gallery to see you in action and ensure the right fit.
What we’re looking for
Strong, confident communicator with proven sales experience
Comfortable engaging collectors and new buyers in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of contemporary art
Reliable, self-motivated, and happy working independently on a stand
Professional, personable, and calm under pressure
Fee & Commission
£600 base fee per fair
Plus competitive sales commission

Freelance Web Developer – E-Commerce & UX Focus
Tom Cox Gallery is looking for a skilled freelance web developer to help elevate and modernise our website (www.tomcoxstudio.com) with a clear focus on improving online sales, collector engagement, and overall user experience.
We’re after someone who can take the existing Squarespace site and transform it into a fast, elegant, conversion-driven platform that reflects the gallery’s identity and supports a growing collector base.
Key Areas of Work
Improve site layout, navigation, and mobile responsiveness
Strengthen e-commerce flow: artwork pages, enquiry pathways, checkout experience
Create clearer collector journeys: browse → enquire → buy
Enhance artist profiles, exhibitions, and editorial content
Optimise for speed, SEO, and discoverability
Advise on content hierarchy, UX and conversion best practices
Provide ongoing updates or maintenance where needed
Experience We’re Looking For
Strong background in web development or UX/UI design
Comfortable working within Squarespace (7.1)
Confident with custom CSS and best-practice site structure
Experience with creative-sector or e-commerce sites preferred
Clean visual sensibility and strong attention to detail
Project Style
Freelance, project-based, with potential for ongoing support.
Ideal start: early 2026.
